When a dog goes missing, the first decisions made can determine whether that dog is recovered quickly or whether the situation escalates and becomes far more difficult to resolve. In many cases, well-meaning actions in the early stages can actually reduce the chances of a safe recovery.
At Eye In The Sky, we deliver in person training talks based on real world experience from frontline lost dog search operations. This is not theory or generic advice. It is practical, proven guidance built from handling genuine incidents, understanding dog behaviour, and managing searches in high pressure situations.
This training is designed for anyone responsible for dogs in a professional or organisational setting. Whether you are a dog walker, run a daycare or boarding facility, manage kennels, work in rescue, or operate within a veterinary or community setting, knowing how to respond correctly is essential.
A single incident can impact your reputation, create distress for owners, and lead to serious consequences if handled incorrectly.

One of the key issues we see time and time again is that people simply do not understand how lost dogs behave.
Dogs in this state often do not respond in the way owners or handlers expect. Calling, chasing, or searching in the wrong way can push a dog further away and make recovery significantly harder.
Our training explains these behaviours clearly and shows how to adapt your response accordingly.
We focus heavily on the first 24 hours, as this is the most critical period. You will learn what actions to take immediately, what to avoid, and how to approach a search in a structured and effective way.
We also cover when and how to escalate a situation, using real case examples to demonstrate what works and what does not.
Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes and includes time for questions and discussion.
Talks are delivered in person, and we are able to travel to your venue to work directly with your team or organisation.

The cost for a session is £150, with travel costs added depending on location.
For multiple bookings, we are happy to provide a tailored quote.
Eye In The Sky is actively involved in lost dog search and locate operations, using both ground teams and drone support.
The training we deliver is built on real incidents, real outcomes, and real experience.
Our aim is simple: to help you respond correctly, reduce risk, and give every lost dog the best possible chance of being brought home safely.
